I know that this will be my only present for sure if I end up getting this gift but it is definitly the only thing I want this year. It is a Digital SLR camera made by Sony and overall I heard it is one of the best starting SLR's on the market. The one thing I really like about it is that it has the digital stabilizer in the camera rather than the lens as in other models from other companies.
I really can't wait to get it and start practicing because I am going to be the official photographer at my sister's wedding. Should be an interesting time.

Dude, honestly - wait until boxing day. It'll be half off. Mine was originally like 600-700$ but at futureshop.ca on boxing day, it was down t o 400$.
It'll be worth it. Just ask whoever is getting it for you to wait one day. haha. Let's hang out soon?
